Modern Mosque Design


The above rendering is for the world’s third largest mosque in the world, the foundation stone has been laid in Algiers, Algeria in an official ceremony recently. A consortium of German architects and design offices consisting of KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten and engineering firm Krebs und Kiefer International. The 400,000m2 Mosquée d’Algérie offers space for up to 120,000 visitors daily, as well as a prayer hall for up to 37,000 people and a 265m-high minaret. Source: DesignMENA
